Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Government Institute Of Medical Science and Research, Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal is first government college of Uttrakhand. Medical Council of India has given permission for admission of 100 M.B.B. S students in June 2008, which has been increased currently to 125 M.B.B.S. seats.

Situated in scenic environs on the banks of river Alaknanda in Srinagar , Pauri Garhwal , this is the state of art medical college providing latest in medical teachings. Medical college aims to house well equipped facilities like laboratories for various departments like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology etc. Every department has latest equipment in laboratories, research labs, and departmental libraries along with latest audio visual teaching aids. The five lecture theaters have sitting capacity of more than 140 students each and are equipped with latest teaching aids. The computerized central library which is spread over three floors stocks more than 8400 latest books on all walks of medicines. It also has internet facility along with multimedia teaching aid. The faculties of college, with rich experience in teaching, have been invited from across the country.The college aims to achieve the status of a premier medical college of India in near future.

The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna (HNB) teaching hospital associated with medical college has been catering to the wide section of population of and around Srinagar. Currently HNB Base Teaching Hospital is 700 bedded and the numberĀ  of beds are planned to be increased in future. The hospital is providing best of medical facilities to local and remote population including OPD; Indoor Patients; Operation theatres; Emergency Services; CT Scans; Ultrasound and pathology testing facility.

NEET UG Counselling Procedure for All India Quota Government Colleges

The NEET UG counselling process for the All India Quota (AIQ) is managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and is conducted online. The process involves several steps, including registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting.

Registration

  • Visit the official MCC website.
  • Click on the 'New Registration' link.
  • Enter the required details such as NEET Roll Number, Application Number, Name, Date of Birth, and Security Pin.
  • Pay the registration fee online.

Choice Filling and Locking

  • Log in to the MCC portal using the credentials.
  • Fill in choices of colleges and courses as per preference.
  • Modify and rearrange choices if needed.
  • Lock the choices before the deadline.

Seat Allotment

  • MCC processes the seat allotment based on NEET rank, choices filled, reservation criteria, and availability of seats.
  • The result of the seat allotment is published on the MCC website.
  • Download the allotment letter from the portal.

Reporting to Allotted College

  • Report to the allotted college with the allotment letter and required documents.
  • Complete the admission formalities at the college.
  • If satisfied with the allotment, complete the admission process.
  • If not satisfied, participate in the next round of counselling.

Second Round of Counselling (if applicable)

  • Fresh registration for new candidates.
  • Already registered candidates can directly proceed to choice filling.
  • Follow the same procedure as the first round for choice filling, locking, and seat allotment.
